“Love Takes the Victoria Peak” is an Internet installation work. In the exhibition space, a Chinese national flag is attached to a computer controlled dildo. The computer is then hooked up to the Internet. Periodically, the computer retrieves the current stock market index from the Internet. Whenever there is a considerable rise in the index, the dildo will vibrate and thus wave the flag in the air. The higher the index will trigger a bigger vibration.

Years after the 1997 handover of Hong Kong, lots of senior government officials and business tycoons enthusiastically demonstrate their patriotism towards the Chinese government. In front of the camera, they claim that whenever they see the national flag and hear the national anthem, they can help but burst into tears. During the same period, the Hong Kong economy suffer a severe recession and everyone prays for the rise of the stock index. This installation tries to juxtopose the financial hope and patriotism and see what could happen.
